This is a question that is asked of me quite often. I have been involved in the area of fitness for over 40 years and wanted to give you some of my observations over the years and the roadblocks to progress that some people may encounter.

A common practice that many new trainees will follow when they're interested in gaining muscle size would be to copy one of routines that is found in the numerous bodybuilding publications available. Now I have to tell you that these routines may work for some of the more genetically gifted, but the average person will have a hard time getting any benefit at all. The reason is that most of these programs will put the average person in an over-trained state.

If you are interested in ways to improve performance in one of the sports you're involved in, would you know the proper exercises to perform to make this happen? The same would apply if your goal was to lose some pounds and get more lean and fit. Would you know the proper diet and program to follow?

I have been actively training people with a focus on building muscle and can tell you from personal experience that I had people come to me who have not seen any improvement for as long as they could remember. After being put on a proper system of training, they got more muscle gain than they had seen in years.

So, I would say that if you really know how to go about getting the results you are after, keep training and always try to stay current with new training techniques and systems. If you are not sure, it would be a thought to work with a trainer to get familiar with the proper systems and diets to follow or take a look at some of the really good on-line courses that may save you years of wasted effort. One of the top
ones out there that I looked at and was impressed is this program It has all the information and support
to get you on the path to a better body.
In Fitness,
Bill
http://billjo-easymusclebuilding.blogspot.com/
http://highreps.blogspot.com/
http://trainerforgains.blogspot.com/

or email me with training questions bjolloff@yahoo.com
